Adam & Makayla's Wedding

Went to my first Redneck Wedding.  I have never seen so much camouflage in my life!  You almost couldn't see people.  We actually had a good time.  Had been worried that it would be so hot sitting out in the sun, but God is good.  It clouded over and there was a nice breeze and couldn't have been any better.

The bridesmaids.  Come concern  over the dresses but went to plan B and  they fit right in with the hunter orange.

Rick was an usher and did a fine job along with Dan.  Didn't get a really good picture of the  flower girl Miss Marley.  She was so cute but then she is all the time.

Here comes the bride.  Her dress is unique and looks really good on her after a few alterations.
After the ceremony. Everyone looks relieved.  Larry wasn't feeling the best but made it through with flying colors.
The card box and gift table.  The card box was the one I made for Cindy's wedding.  In camouflage of course.
They opted for cupcakes in stead of a traditional cake.(wrapped in camo liners)  Yummy.  Note the camo mints.  A first for the professional mint makers but turned out pretty good.
They had a little cake for them to cut and of course smear into faces.  All in all a perfect wedding for them.  It did  rain but not until after the actual romancer was over.  Some slow pokes had to hot foot it up the hill.  Hope for nothing but the best, Adam and Makayla!

Knoxville Bluegrass Festival

Had a good time at Knoxville this year.  I didn't get many pictures but these two are worth a thousand words.  Talk about redneck boudoir!  I had to take these pictures.    We played on stage both nights.  Lloyd and Jeanine had to leave Saturday for a class reunion but Taylor filled in for Jeanine and we got along.   It rained and the crowd was pretty thin.

Adam and Makayla's Shower

The weather cooperated and cooled off for Adam and Makayla's shower.   We had a really good supper of sloppy joe's and hot dogs, baked beans, bean salad, chips , salsa  and green bean casserole.  Everything tasted really good.
They got lots of nice gifts.  Several duplicates though. But can exchange for something else they want.
The cake was really cute and appropriate for their theme.  Everyone had a nice time visiting and now we are ready for the real thing!

Curryville Festival

Nothin Fancy
Our trip didn't start out to well as the air conditioner in the Tahoe wasn't working.  We rode with the windows down to Mt Pleasant and stopped at good ole Walmart for some Freon stuff .  That helped.  It never ran you out with the cold but was tolerable. We had a good time at Curryville in spite of the heat.  There was usually a good  breeze and Saturday for most of the day it was over cast with a few sprinkles in the morning and some real rain in the evening.  They canceled the last two bands which were two of our favorites.   Adui Blaylock and Redline and the Boxcars.   This little guy was eleven years old and boy could he sing and play the guitar!  He played a song or two with several of the bands.  Someone said he was from Louisiana but one of the groups from Ohio said he came to their festival so not sure but was fun to watch.  I have included a couple of video clips so  you can know what you missed.  AS you can hear there was some hard driving Bluegrass!.  We had front row seats and as Katlin said you could see their nose hairs.  Don't know about that but you could sure see them sweat!
