We went to Keokuk to see Daily and Vincent at the State Theatre. I think that was the name of it. It was an awesome building. Very intricate carvings and detail work. It was also the week end they do the reenactment of the Civil War battle of Pea Ridge. This was the 24th year and they are only going to do it one more year. We had some very distinguished guests. To our right was President and Mrs Lincoln and General and Mrs U.S. Grant. To our left General Robert E. Lee and Mrs Lee. We were afraid the president might be shot being in a theatre and all. But the night went by with no mishaps.
This is the whole group. I have never in my life heard a bass player sing so low. He is the second from the right and is just a young kid. But he sang very well.
Of course our favorite (besides Daily and Vincent) is Parker. Mary and Katlin had their money out waiting for him but they didn't come off the stage this time. Darin Vincent is from Queen City Missouri and he had some of his family there to watch him. They all did a wonderful show and was well worth the time and money. Talked like they might make it a yearly event and if so I would highly urge everyone to so see them.
