Sister's Retreat 2012

Sister's weekend 2012!  Wow what fun!  We met Friday afternoon for a soup supper.  The early birds got to play a few games of golf and 99 before everyone showed up. We had divided up into teams and each team was responsible for one meal.   Supper was Cindy, Mary and  Kirby.  We had 3 different kinds of soup and relishes.  Everyone had made some cookies and brought a snack.  We had way to much food!   But it was all good.   After supper we decided to play charades as an ice breaker.  Like we need an ice breaker.  We laughed so hard.  All the older ones just about needed depends.
We split into two teams and we were pretty evenly divided.  The scores were pretty close.  but at some point we stopped keeping score and just had a good time.
Mary had to be the greatest player of all.  None of us will ever forget the word in.   Connie taught us a new gesture for man and mine was cat.  Just ask any one who was there.  But on second thought  what happens in the Base Camp Lodge stays in the Base Camp Lodge.
We played for a couple of hours and then most retired for the night.   Connie, Liz and I were on the breakfast team.  We had waffles with syrup, strawberries or blueberries juice or coffee.  We played some cards while we were waiting for Kirby to get there and then went to the Dutchman's store.  Doris Jean, Angie and Katlin were the lunch team.  We had hot dogs (most of us anyway) and chips.  Keep in mind all the time we were grazing on the snacks and cookies.    The afternoon was kind of lazy.  some went for a walk to the lake, some napped, some just visited.  We decided to order pizza for supper that night, Taco/meat lovers and cheese.  Not too many leftovers.  Then round two of charades.  We had slightly different teams but still was pretty evenly matched.  Again much laughter and many trips to the bathroom.
Some pooped out and went to bed but the rest of us had a late night card game.
I finally couldn't take any more and broke up the party. We all got settled in with some  "good night John Boy"   Slept much better the second night.

Sunday morning breakfast committee was Jeanine and Peg.  We had bacon and scrambled eggs with toast (with homemade peach jam YUM) and juice and coffee.  Many pots of coffee. We decided a group picture was in order and did one serious one and of course one not so serious.   Talk is there may be a repeat performance next year.   Good times and Good memories.
